A Christmas Story
My favorite Christmas memory is the year I received a crate of Big League Chew. I chewed and chewed for the following month until my jaw was sore. The deep purple of my mouth rivaled the hue of Barney. My mother purchased the gum from Phelps Co. located it Omaha. It had to be hauled in on a flat bed truck and was stored in the basement. The magic of that Christmas will always be stored in my mind.

NY Times Reporters
By reading the reporters' bios and Q and A's, I was able to retain some valuable information. Chris Broussard, who currently writes for the New York Times, has made his career as a beat writer, something I would be very interested in. He stareted at the high school reporting level and worked his way up through universities and now is a beat writer for the New York Knicks. This position puts him in a primary role and earns him roles on ESPN.
Lynn Zinser, a female beat writer for the New York Times has overcome the gender bias surrounding sports writing. She has gave many inspiration through her valor and perserverance. I have learned that it is possible to overcome great odds to achieve what you want, even if its simply writing sports.

I'm thankful for...
Alex Henery,
The man of the day on Friday in Nebraksa. He led the Cornhuskers to a huge win over rival, Colorado in a packed Memorial stadium. His 57 yard boot gave him the school record for longest field goal. Putting him past legendary kickers such as and Josh and Kris Brown of the 90's. Without Henery a roller coaster season would have been tarnashed at the hands of a disgusting, inferior team like the Colorado Buffaloes. Bo's show was saved by Henery's toe.
